Pricing Examples
Due to the nature and variety of the work we do it's not possible to provide a prescriptive/complete list of prices to cover everything. However the prices below for some of the more common jobs should provide an indication of cost and can be related to similar work.
Motorcycles.
- Ultrasonically clean one already removed carburettor in heated tank £60:00. Disassembling/rebuilding carburettors is chargeable at the usual hourly rate + parts. For banks of two or four carburettors a discount can be applied to carbs 2, 3 and 4.
- Vapour blast engine cases £85:00 (if heavily soiled degreasing cost will be added).
- Replace motorcycle chain and sprockets from £150:00 + parts.
- Press out/off bearing or shaft using hydraulic press if the component is already removed, from £40:00. Any special tools/adaptors required will be chargeable at the usual hourly rate plus materials.
- Motorcycle fork seal replacement from £225:00 + parts for forks already removed.
Machinery.
- Carry out a service on a walk behind lawn mower such as a Mountfield SP/RV including parts from £85:00. A service includes changing the air filter, spark plug and engine oil, lubricating cables and linkages, along with checking the machine over and reporting.
- Carry out a small weld repair to a bracket, handle etc with the component already removed from £35:00. See example in gallery.
General.
- Turn a plain spacer or pin on lathe from £60:00 + materials. See example in gallery.
- Collection and delivery for a 10 mile round trip from B98 9HE (van only) £35:00. Journeys above a 10 mile round trip will require the services of a transport company.

- Labour rate for all types of work £75:00 per hour with a minimum charge of £35:00.
Fuel and oil.
If you bring your machine in without sufficient fuel to carryout the work/service/test we will add the required amount which is then chargeable as an extra to any quoted price. This is currently a flat fee of £5:00 any additional fuel required beyond the minimum for further running/operation is charged at £5:00 per litre as it includes the cost of going to collect it.
Please note:- Waste oil or stale/contaminated fuel drained from your motorcycle or machine which is not part of servicing carries charge of £10:00 per litre to cover the disposal by a licensed waste company.
